For this installment of our Getty visits, we will be focusing on an 18th-century French microscope, a marvel of technology for the time. We won’t be able to peak through this instrument but this will be our pretext to talk about Les Lumières and more.
After the visit, you are welcome to admire other French works held in the Getty’s collection including oils by Boucher, Millet or Degas.
We will meet on the tram floor, at the bench just when you exit the parking elevator, and go through security together. Please pack a layer and water as appropriate. Your guide will have the group’s reservation but you will be responsible for the parking fee ($25).The parking structure opens at 9:30 am.
