The Alliance Française de Los Angeles will comply with the latest health regulations from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health in order to ensure a safe environment for kids.
Le Dimanche des Petits is shaped for kids between 3 and 5 years old*. We focus on promoting children’s well-being, developing their curiosity, growing their capacity for collaboration, connection and resilience, while learning French.
From 9:30am to 1 pm the children will be evolving in a full-immersion environment, learning about nature, the world, people, and themselves.
Our purpose is not only to help our students grow their language skills and integrate other immersion programs around Los Angeles, but also to help them become the curious, courageous, wholehearted world citizens we need today.
*Kids need to be potty trained before they start

The language classes are designed to teach children how to communicate within a group, express their thoughts and feelings, ask questions, and utilize more advanced sentence structures. Additionally, the classes focus on developing the students’ understanding of the written word including the alphabet, vocabulary building, and basic writing skills. The French story hour and educational games are incorporated into the classes to reinforce the students’ knowledge and enhance their language proficiency.
Our French program takes pride in offering children an engaging and stimulating curriculum that goes beyond language acquisition. In addition to learning French, our program includes enrichment classes in science, art, cooking, movement, and library. We offer a well-rounded education that helps to develop their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and linguistic skills. It provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive while developing a love for French language and culture.
Sciences
Science classes are designed to provide children with a foundation of knowledge and curiosity about the world around them. By exploring new concepts and ideas, they learn to ask questions and develop a scientific approach to problem-solving.
Cooking
Cooking classes teach children about nutrition and healthy eating habits while introducing them to new foods and flavors. They learn to follow instructions, measure ingredients, and work cooperatively with others while developing their fine motor skills and boosting their confidence and independence in the kitchen.
Arts
Art classes allow children to express themselves creatively while developing skills in drawing, painting, and other forms of artistic expression. Through art, children learn to communicate their emotions and ideas in a visual way, helping to foster their self-express build confidence.
Maths
A French immersion math class enhances children’s language skills, builds logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, and provides a practical foundation in mathematical concepts that can be used in everyday life.
Movement
Movement classes encourage children to be physically active and develop their gross motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness. They learn to dance, run, and play together in a fun and safe environment.
Library
Library classes promote a love of reading and language development, providing children with access to a wide range of books and resources. Through storytelling, children develop their imagination and listening skills, while learning new vocabulary and grammar rules in French.
