“I have really enjoyed my French classes with Andrea. We started with in-person sessions, but with Covid-19, we have moved online with weekly Classes via Zoom. They have been fantastic and our group includes people from all over the country. Andrea’s class is very well planned with excellent on-screen materials, French songs and short films or film clips. I learn a lot from her every week. The class is very relaxed and we have a lot of fun! Always lots of laughter! Andrea is intelligent, funny, charming and patient. I highly recommend her class! Alliance Française does an amazing job creating opportunities to learn about French language and culture.”

“We have so enjoyed taking French classes at Alliance Francaise! We began studying at the Alliance to prepare for a trip to France. When the pandemic began, we decided to continue French as our “pandemic activity.” The teachers and the students at the school are consistently wonderful and we have enjoyed learning about a wide range of topics, from “confinement total” and “PQ” (important pandemic terminology) to French movies, restaurants, and songs. In her class she gets to listen and speak French as well as getting exposed to French culture and to the French school curriculum. “I have been a member of L’Alliance Française de Los Angeles since 2018. I joined L’Alliance on the heels of an intensive language immersion in Paris and wanted to continue my language acquisition practice in preparation for applying for my French Citizenship. Over last two years, I have taken numerous classes—private lessons, group conversation and grammar, and tutoring for the language test for citizenship (TCF-ANF). In addition to the courses, L’Alliance offers a number of excellent cultural programs in Los Angeles. Lectures on French history and French film screenings are among the favorite programs I enjoy. All of this was immensely helpful as this summer I officially received my citizenship status and my document de naissance française!
