HAVE FUN-MAKE FRIENDS-LEARN FRENCH
The Alliance Française de Los Angeles complies with the new regulations from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health in order to ensure a safe environment for kids.
For Whom?
Kids from 5 to 11 years old:
- Anglophones who want to learn French or already have a prior experience with French
OR
- Francophones who speak and understand French and want to exercise and master their French as a daily basis
During this program our team of French Native teachers will encourage kids to use and practice French through our conversation and play-based pedagogy. Kids will learn basic vocabulary linked with our weekly theme, and basic sentences for everyday life at and outside of camp.
This program will integrate reading and writing as tools for learning.
A Typical Day at Camp
9:00a – Check-in and Free Play
9:30a – Assembly
10:00a – French class: speaking, reading, writing
11:00a – Art and Crafts, yoga, theater, cooking, gardening
12:00p – Lunch and Quiet Time
1:20p – Games, Sport, cooking, science experiment…
3:00p – Pick-Up
Activities and Concept
Days at the camp will be primarily focused on language skills through our weekly themes. We will work on four themes, one per week for the first four weeks, then repeat those themes for the last four weeks of camp. The theme will be the inspiration for the adventure that the campers will embark on at the start of the week, and for the big game at the end of the week.
This years’ themes will be:
- French Museum Adventure
- French culinary journey
- Deep Sea mysteries
- Heading to the Stars!
Activities are designed to give the children multiple ways to express their creativity while having fun. It’s summertime, our teachers will adapt to every individual rhythm and make sure everyone enjoys their camp activities.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
Each camp will be full days from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Check in will be held between 8:55 am and 9:30 am each morning.
Sign out is between 3:00 pm and 3:10 pm. You must pick up your child by 3:15 pm.
IMPORTANT
- We will NOT release your child to anyone (even the parent of another child) who is NOT on your authorized pick-up list or for whom we have not receive a written confirmation
- Any adult will need to show photo ID to pick up a child before signing the document.
- Every child MUST be signed IN AND OUT by an adult from the authorized pick-up list EVERY MORNING AND EVERY AFTERNOON at the front desk.
Lunch/Snacks
Parents or guardians need to bring snacks, lunch and a water bottle for their kids.
Please let us know in advance if your child has food allergies!
You are running late / Have a doctor appointment / Need to pick-up your child early
Please email our school coordinator at admin@afdela.com to let us know at what time you plan to drop off or pick up your child.
You will be charged for extra care fee after 3:15pm.

Discounts
- To apply the discounts, please call or email us. These discounts are not applied at checkout.
- 5% when you enroll in multiple sessions of this program
- 5% when you enroll a sibling. This discount will be applied to the registration of each additional child.
- To take advantage of the discounts, be sure to register all at once. Discounts cannot be combined with any other discount.
- Discounts are non-cumulative (you must choose between one or the other)
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after June 1st. Before June 1st, a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund amount. After June 1st, you may withdraw any time before the start of the session for a credit minus the cancellation fee. No withdrawals are accepted after the start of a session. There are no allowances for absences, early withdrawals, or late starts. There is no pro-rating of fees.
Absence Policy
