Back by popular demand, this year marks the 2nd edition of Django à Gogo Los Angeles, a music festival dedicated to the art of the greatest guitar master who ever lived: Django Reinhardt.
This one-of-a-kind 3-day festival features a stellar lineup, including the internationally acclaimed Stephane Wrembel Band, the enchanting Aurore Voilqué on violin from France, the charismatic Simba Baumgartner from France on guitar (Django Reinhardt’s great-Grandson), the vivacious Russell Welsh hailing from the heart of New Orleans, Baltimore-based guitar virtuoso Sam Farthing, Tommy Davy on guitar, Luanne Homzy on violin (the two are part of the LA-based Trio Dinicu, specialized in Eastern European Gypsy Folk).
Nightly concerts are headlined by the Stephane Wrembel Band with special guests. The repertoire follows the Gypsy musical styles gathered through their thousand-year journey from India to Europe, forming a fantastic, colorful canvas of musical sounds.
Daily Master Classes deliver a first-class music program providing musicians of all levels and instruments access to the greatest knowledge and teachers available. The program focuses mainly on the musical style of Django Reinhardt.
Jam sessions (free) are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. No registration is required to participate, just bring your own instruments. Sessions take place in lounge or outside (weather dependent).

*Notes on the Master Classes:
It is preferable to already have a basic knowledge of chords and some soloing in one style or another. However, the doors are open to all! Everyone will get the musical information they need at their own point of development. The teachers and performers have been selected not only for their ability to offer world-class concerts and instruction, but also for their good spirit and their general kindness, patience, and humor. In addition to offering students the rare opportunity to become deeply immersed in this style of music with some of the greatest teachers and performers in the world, the Master Classes will be fun and undoubtedly entertaining.
