French Heroines 1940-1945: Courage, Strength and Ingenuity by Monique Saigal.

This autobiography tells her story as a Jewish child hidden during WW11. By chance, a Catholic family saved and raised her from age 3 until age 12, several years after the war had ended. The book also includes interviews and stories of 18 women who were Resistance fighters during the war.

Dr. Monique Saigal will be our special guest to present and sign her book. Monique received the Dr. Philip Weiss Inaugural Award For Storytelling For Peace and Human Rights from the University of Manitoba, Canada, the Wig Award for Excellence in Teaching at Pomona College, California in 1997 and the Faculty Alumni Award from Pomona College.
