Events > 2015 > October > French Grand Reporter,
Takes place on Monday, October 5th from 7:00 pm to 9.00 pm
The French grand reporter, Patrice Vanoni will make a presentation on the International Reporter’s profession broadly: which is an uncommon job, sometimes dangerous, but exciting, too. – He will illustrate an International Reporter’s career through anecdotes, images, press articles etc. He will also make a presentation of the different stages of a project reporting, from the decision of the Senior Editor to cover particular news to its specific realization.
There will also be a discussion on the profession of reporter, its evolution during the past 40 years, with, for example, the proliferation of media and new opportunities as much as competition ushered in by the Internet.
Starting as freelance journalist for several magazines and radio and for Le Monde, Patrice Vanoni has been, for 30 years, International Reporter and correspondent in many countries for several major French television channels (TF1, Canal +, I TV, Arte). He has made reports and documentaries covering highly topical international issues: wars and conflicts, particularly in Africa, but also major political events. Other than Africa he has worked in the US, India, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Liberia etc
The conference will be followed by a reception hosted by French Chef Michelle La Porta and Wines provided by Admirable Vineyards, Malibu. This event is free for Alliance Française members and $15.00 for non members. .
