ABOUT THIS EVENT

Takes place on Saturday, September 26th  2015 at 3:00 pm.

Join us for a screening of Kirikou et la sorcière, directed by Michel Ocelot.

An animated tale set in  a little village somewhere in West Africa, this film adapted from a West African folktale by French filmmaker Michel Ocelot is smart, funny and stunningly designed.  A boy named Kirikou is born in a spectacular way. But he’s not a normal boy, since he can speak and walk immediately after being born. Watch little Kirikou become a hero and grow from a boy to a man. Click here for a preview of the trailer.
Ocelot forgoes the 3D computer generated animation and turns instead to West African painting, sculpture and fabric for layout character design and the film’s beautiful color palette. And he offers up an authentic African soundtrack by the great Senegalese pop star Youssou N’Dour.
This is a fun film for the whole family( suggested for ages 6 and up) and is FREE Alliance Française Members.

Non Member price: $10.00. Please REGISTER HERE or RSVP to admin@afdela.org
