Our transition class allows young children to learn to adapt in a smooth fashion to a school environment. Game-like activities alternate with first steps in school work. Transition classes also help with sparing young children (and their parents!) From separation anxiety. Parents are encouraged to join in and participate in activities when invited to do so by the instructors.
In our Maternelle program, children acquire new words and language structures illustrated by a variety of age-appropriate activities. Various arts-and-crafts projects give children the opportunity to practice French and reinforce their new vocabulary. Fluency and confidence will improve through fun activities such as songs, dance, games, stories, and films. A different topic is covered every week. Parent or care giver must remain on site for the duration of the class.
